REST’s programs and project activities are wide-ranging, aiming to bring about improvements in the lives and livelihoods of the poor. Aligned with the GTP and the regional policy framework, implementation of programs and projects was highly collaborative and participating with the local government and the beneficiaries’ communities. The PSNP, also national government program, has been a key to REST major program components implemented across 12 weredas. Natural resource management, rural potable water supply, small scale irrigation, essential health and basic education services and projects on social protection have been implemented, directly and indirectly benefiting more than 2.7 million men, women, and vulnerable children. Based on our periodic assessments, encouraging results were achieved in almost all features of programs/projects.
